5. Vendor Listings and Public Information
Vendors who register on SalonHub understand and agree that certain business-related information may be publicly displayed to users for the purpose of service discovery and booking. Such information may include business name, service details, pricing, service categories, portfolio images, business timing, address or area, customer-facing profile details, ratings, reviews, and any other content uploaded for listing purposes.
Vendors are solely responsible for ensuring that the information they provide is lawful, accurate, updated, non-misleading, and does not violate the rights of any third party. SalonHub reserves the right, but not the obligation, to review, edit, reject, limit, unpublish, suspend, or remove any listing content at its discretion.
6. Booking Records, Completion Status, and Operational Data
In order to operate the platform efficiently, SalonHub may store and process booking-related data such as booking initiation, acceptance, rejection, status transitions, completion confirmation, cancellation events, payment-linked status, customer notes, vendor response data, timestamps, and dispute logs. This information helps maintain service continuity, history records, operational accuracy, platform analytics, fraud review, support investigation, and future reference.
7. Wallet, Commission, and Transactional Privacy
SalonHub may maintain internal records related to vendor wallet balances, commission deductions, credits, reversals, adjustments, pending balances, promotional credits, and booking-linked deductions. Such records are necessary for transparent accounting, dispute handling, business analysis, anti-fraud review, reconciliation, and compliance.
Where the platform follows a rule under which a vendor’s amount is deducted only after a booking is successfully completed, SalonHub may store the necessary completion confirmation, transaction reference, deduction timing, and supporting internal records to validate the deduction.
8. Referral Program and Promotional Credits
SalonHub may run referral, reward, cashback, offer, or promotional credit programs from time to time. Information related to such programs, including referral source, credit earned, credit usage, invalid activity review, duplicate usage patterns, device-level similarity, and booking linkage, may be processed to prevent misuse.
Any amount or credit earned under a refer-and-earn or similar promotional system may be restricted to platform-specific usage only, including use toward eligible bookings, as defined in the applicable program rules. Such promotional amounts may not be transferable, withdrawable, exchangeable for cash, or refundable unless explicitly stated otherwise by SalonHub.
9. Payments and Third-Party Payment Providers
SalonHub may use third-party payment processors, payment gateways, banks, UPI service providers, or related financial technology partners to facilitate payments, confirmations, settlements, or gateway-linked transaction responses. When users or vendors make or receive payments through such systems, certain transaction-related information may be shared with or received from such providers strictly as required to complete, verify, reconcile, secure, or review the transaction.
SalonHub does not knowingly store full card numbers, CVV, or other highly sensitive payment authentication data on its own systems except where lawfully and securely handled through a certified partner environment. Users are advised to review the privacy policies of relevant third-party payment providers before completing transactions.
10. Use of Location Data
SalonHub may use location information to show nearby services, improve search relevance, personalize service discovery, prevent suspicious booking patterns, and support vendor-user matching. Location access may depend on device settings and user permissions. If a user disables location access, some features of the platform may become limited or less accurate.
11. Cookies, Tracking Technologies, and Analytics
We may use cookies, session storage, tracking pixels, analytics tools, and similar technologies to remember preferences, maintain sessions, understand user interaction, detect fraud patterns, improve performance, analyze trends, and optimize platform design and conversion flow.
Users may control cookies through browser settings; however, disabling certain cookies may affect login persistence, booking flow, personalization, or other website functions.
12. How We Share Information
SalonHub does not sell personal information in the ordinary course of business. However, information may be shared in the following cases:
- With vendors to the extent necessary to fulfill a booking or service request.
- With users to the extent necessary to display lawful vendor listings and enable service communication.
- With payment gateways, banks, technical partners, OTP providers, cloud hosting providers, analytics providers, customer support partners, and other service providers who assist in running the platform.
- With legal, regulatory, tax, judicial, investigative, or law enforcement authorities if required by law, court order, compliance obligation, or good-faith legal necessity.
- With professional advisors, auditors, consultants, legal counsel, or investors in a lawful and confidentiality-bound manner where necessary for legitimate business purposes.
- In connection with a merger, restructuring, acquisition, asset sale, transfer, financing, or business transition, subject to applicable safeguards.
13. Fraud Prevention, Security Monitoring, and Misuse Control
Protecting the platform, its users, and its vendors from fraud is a core operational requirement. SalonHub may monitor, review, flag, investigate, restrict, suspend, or report activities involving suspected fake bookings, self-bookings, referral abuse, duplicate identities, chargeback abuse, document misuse, manipulation of ratings or reviews, unusual location behavior, repeated cancellations, wallet fraud, identity misrepresentation, abusive communication, or any conduct that threatens the security, integrity, or trust of the platform.
For this purpose, SalonHub may combine user activity, device information, booking history, transaction patterns, referral patterns, IP information, support history, and linked data points to make fraud-risk assessments. Where required, SalonHub may suspend accounts, hold balances, restrict functionality, or preserve evidence for legal or investigative action.
14. Data Security
SalonHub uses commercially reasonable and industry-appropriate security measures intended to protect data against unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, disclosure, destruction, accidental loss, and unlawful processing. Such measures may include access controls, authentication controls, secure hosting practices, encrypted communications where applicable, role-based permissions, activity logging, and periodic monitoring.
However, no website, server, application, network, API, transmission system, or digital database can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Therefore, while SalonHub takes appropriate precautions, it cannot warrant or guarantee absolute security.
15. Data Retention
SalonHub may retain personal, booking, vendor, wallet, payment-linked, promotional, support, and technical data for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain business records, enforce policies, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, conduct audits, defend legal claims, and preserve legitimate business interests.
Even if an account is deleted, certain records may continue to be retained where required for tax, compliance, audit, fraud review, dispute handling, backup integrity, legal preservation, or other lawful operational reasons.
16. User and Vendor Rights
Subject to applicable law and verification requirements, users and vendors may have the right to:
- Access certain information associated with their account.
- Request correction or updating of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion or closure of account information, subject to lawful retention requirements.
- Withdraw consent for certain optional permissions, such as location access or marketing communication, where applicable.
SalonHub may ask for identity verification before acting on such requests and may decline or limit requests that are unlawful, technically impractical, repetitive, abusive, risky to others, or contrary to valid record-retention obligations.
17. Children’s Privacy
SalonHub is not intended for use by individuals who are not legally eligible to enter into a valid binding arrangement under applicable law. If SalonHub becomes aware that data has been collected from a person in violation of applicable legal age requirements without valid authorization, it may take steps to delete or restrict such information.
18. Third-Party Links and External Services
The platform may contain links to third-party websites, apps, maps, social media pages, payment pages, or external tools. SalonHub is not responsible for the privacy practices, content, security, terms, or operations of such third parties. Users should independently review the privacy policies and terms of any external service before interacting with it.
19. Policy Changes and Future Updates
SalonHub reserves the right to update, amend, revise, replace, or modify this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect changes in law, technology, operations, platform features, vendor systems, booking models, payment flows, fraud control measures, business structure, or compliance requirements.
Updated versions may be posted on the website with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued access or use of the platform after such update shall, to the extent permitted by law, constitute acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
20. Limitation Regarding Platform Role
SalonHub, as a platform, may process information necessary to facilitate listings, bookings, and related platform functions; however, vendors remain independently responsible for the service quality, local legal compliance, representations made in their listings, conduct toward users, and any service-level acts or omissions attributable to them. Nothing in this Privacy Policy shall be interpreted to create any liability beyond what is applicable under law and the platform’s governing terms.
